We currently have an opportunity in Arkles Bay for experienced Personal Care Assistant- Complex Care working with our specialist team supporting our male Spinal Cord Injury client on weekends for 2 hours each day. We are looking for a mature female caregiver with experience in Spinal Injury who can support him with all of his daily living including transfers and some basic household tasks.

Job Description

You will need to be able to:
. Assisting with personal cares, showering, dressing, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
. Assisting with transferring, hoisting and manual handling
. Participating in the implementation of the care plans
. Observing, monitoring and reporting changes in clients’ condition
. Assisting with rehabilitation exercises and medication prompting
. Communicating with other members of the health team.

Ideally, we are looking for staff that have:

  • Have either specialist care experience working with a Spinal Cord Injury
  • Relevant Healthcare/Homecare related Qualifications (or willing to work towards)
  • Full Clean Drivers Licence and reliable car
  • Very good communication skills and excellent command of the English language
  • Able to maintain personal boundaries and maintain privacy & confidentiality
  • Good listening skills
  • Flexible, team player
  • Resilient, enthusiastic, outgoing personality
